One less thing to do!

Well, I now have packed in my hospital bag all the PJ's I should need for my stay after the bub is born. Here are the latest PJ's made by me!

I changed the pattern from last time and they fit ok. It will be easier to see exactly how they fit when there isn't a baby bump in the way! I didn't make the top this time, I bought a cheap singlet top from Big W.

Don't look too hard at the seams where the piping meets! Because it doesn't exactly meet on one side!

Please ignore the creases. I gave them a 'test run' last night and they were very comfy!

The bag!

Yes, this is the bag I made for a Christmas present for my SIL about a month ago! She was here today with her bag and I finally remembered to take a photo!

My little girl

I just had to show this photo I took yesterday. I love it! I have had a 400D for about 6 months now but have rarely ventured off the auto settings and although I have had a few nice shots that way I though it was about time I had a play. Most of what I took yesterday were pretty average, not bad, but not great either. But this one I LOVE!

...and another!

Yes, I know! Are you impressed? Two in one day!

I finished this a few weeks ago and never blogged it so I thought it was time I got around to it. Please excuse the horrible pic of me! I hate taking pics of myself and DH wasn't home to help!

Oh, and for those who are interested I used this pattern.

It's been a long time coming

Yes, I know I have promised pics of completed projects for ages and I have finally got some things to show!

Last night I completed this little top for Miss E. Over all I am very happy with it but there are a few things I'm not happy with!

My Happy list!

I learnt some new things - setting in sleeves (I kind of mucked this up with the PJ's I made but read up on it since then), Rolled hem thing (ok, so I don't know what this is called but I did it and it looks great!), Bias tape on a neckline (a bit fiddly but I got there!)

It fits Miss E well!

My not so Happy list :(

I was supposed to do thread loops for the buttons but just couldn't get them right so I used little bits of shirring elastic, not too sure how long this will last!

The fabric? I love it to look at but I think it looks a bit busy in the top. You can't really see the style that much as the print takes over...maybe I am just too fussy!

Slowing down...

Everyday I feel like I am getting slower and Miss E is getting faster! I'm sure it looks amusing when she decides to run away and heavily pregnant me runs after her strugling to keep up!

Actually its not just the moving about that is getting slower I feel like my brain is too! Honestly everything takes me so much longer to do and half of that is just thinking of what I am supposed to be doing!

Anyway, enough complianing about all that. Less than 6 weeks to go now so it's not too bad I guess.

Miss E has started to dance! It is very cute but she makes herself a bit dizzy! She basicly walks around in circles clapping her hands until she gets too dizy and has to sit down. It is very cute!

I hope to have some crafty things to show sometime soon. I have lots underway so it shouldn't be long!

Progress at last!

It has been a while...a long while actually, since I have had the sewing machine out! My pile of fabrics and patterns has been expanding but I simply have struggled to get anything done! BUT tonight I did it! Hubby went out for the evening, Miss E was in bed and the machine came out!

What did I make, you ask?

Nothing stunning BUT it is progress! I added another flannelette nappy to my newborn stash for this bub! I now have six. I need more but at least I am starting to get there!

That reminds me actually, I really had better start getting ready for this baby! At this stage with Miss E I was super organised! Maybe it is just a first baby thing. I have abosolutely nothing for my hospital bag...Oh well maybe I will get started on that tomorrow. Yay more progress to be made!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!

Just a quiet one for us! We went to some friends for a BBQ and a few drinks (for everyone else not for me!). Miss E woke up when the fireworks started at midnight and couldn't take her eyes off them! Not much else to say, today has just been a recovery day with a family nap this afternoon!
